Agenda and Speakers

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Vishtasb Broumand, DMD, MD, as our keynote speaker. A board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and expert in complex implant placement, Dr. Broumand brings a wealth of knowledge from his career in academia, fellowship training, and private practice. We are honored to have him share his insights!

Dr. Yuan (Cathy) Hung is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with over 20 years of experience. A Columbia University graduate, she is the first bilingual Chinese female oral surgeon in New Jersey, serving immigrant families. Author of Pulling Wisdom and Behind Her Scalpel, Dr. Hung advocates for diversity and wellness in healthcare. She is also a pianist, composer, and mother of two.

Dr. Kelsey LaPorte, a Sioux City native, earned her DDS from Creighton University and completed her residency at the University of Nebraska. Board-certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, she specializes in craniofacial and head and neck surgery and has participated in surgical outreach in Peru. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and time with her husband and pets.

Dr. Erin Sheffield, DDS, is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a passionate advocate for women in healthcare. A sought-after speaker, Dr. Sheffield has presented at major events such as the AAOMS Annual Meeting and is known for her engaging presence on podcasts and social media. As the founder of this event, she is committed to advancing advocacy, education, and community.

Dr. Mona Stone is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a founder of Elevate Summit. After earning her dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, she completed her internship at Truman Medical Center and residency at Broward General Medical Center.

Practicing full-scope surgery, Dr. Stone is also a mother of two, Formula 1 fan, and social media activist.

Dr. Tomsic, is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and FACS. She completed her OMFS residency and medical degree at the Detroit Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in jaw reconstruction and sleep apnea surgery at Georgetown University. A founder of Elevate Summit and popular on social media, she is passionate about advancing education and community in OMFS.

Nate Palmer is a trainer and nutritionist who helps entrepreneurs and busy parents achieve their best shape ever with simple, no calorie tracking methods. As a dad, husband, and author of the bestseller The Million Dollar Body Method, Nate is passionate about using fitness and nutrition to amplify focus, business success, and family time. He also makes a mean taco.

Scott E. Graham, MHA, FACMPE, FAADOM, is an expert in OMS practice management and a founder of SOMSA. He has lectured nationally, published on OMS topics, and co-authored a chapter in Fonseca’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He holds a Master’s in Health Administration and multiple board certifications.
